Summary

Who we are

This privacy policy explains what personal data UK IPTV collects, why, and what rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller is [Owner to confirm: legal entity name], registered at [Owner to confirm: registered address], company number [Owner to confirm: company number].

ICO registration number: [Owner to confirm: ICO registration number, or confirm that an exemption applies]. You can contact us about data protection at [Owner to confirm: data controller contact email] or by WhatsApp via our contact page.

What personal data we collect

We have designed the website to collect as little as possible. We do not run user accounts, analytics, advertising trackers or cookies on this site, and no payment is taken on the website. The personal data we may handle falls into three groups:

  • WhatsApp conversations: your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, the content of your messages, and any details you choose to share so we can set up or support a plan (for example, the plan length and number of connections you want, or the type of device you use).
  • Technical data from your browser: your IP address, browser type (user agent) and the time of each request, which are processed by our hosting provider when you load pages.
  • Font requests: your IP address and browser details, which are received by Google when your browser loads web fonts from Google Fonts.

How we collect your data

The order and support buttons on this site open a link through the short-link service short.gy, which redirects you to WhatsApp (operated by Meta). The link contains a pre-filled message. Nothing is sent until you review that message and press send yourself in WhatsApp.

The contact form on our contact page works the same way. It composes a WhatsApp message inside your browser; the details you type are not sent to or stored on our servers. They only reach us if you send the message in WhatsApp.

Lawful bases for processing

UK GDPR requires us to have a lawful basis for each use of personal data. Subject to owner and legal review, we rely on the following:

WhatsApp, Meta and short.gy

When you click an order or support button, you leave our website. short.gy processes the redirect, and WhatsApp (Meta) processes your messages under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control how these services handle data, so please read their policies.

Within our team, access to WhatsApp conversations is limited to people who need it to handle orders and support [Owner to confirm: who has access and on which devices].

Google Fonts

Our pages load web fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. To deliver the font files, your browser connects directly to Google servers, which means Google receives your IP address and basic browser information. Our use of Google Fonts does not set cookies. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. See our cookie policy for more detail.

Hosting provider logs

Like most websites, our host may automatically record server logs containing your IP address, user agent and the time of each request. Our hosting provider is [Owner to confirm: hosting provider name] and logs are kept for [Owner to confirm: log retention period].

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Data may be processed by, or shared with:

  • WhatsApp / Meta, as the messaging platform you choose to use.
  • short.gy, which handles the redirect link to WhatsApp.
  • Google, when your browser loads Google Fonts.
  • Our hosting provider [Owner to confirm: hosting provider name].
  • Any service needed to deliver your subscription [Owner to confirm: any other processors, e.g. payment or service-delivery providers].
  • Law enforcement, regulators or courts, where we are legally required to disclose information.

International transfers

Some of the services above, including Meta and Google, may process data outside the UK, such as in the United States. Such transfers should be protected by a UK adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement. [Owner to confirm: transfer mechanisms relied on for each provider, including the hosting provider's location].

How long we keep your data

  • WhatsApp conversations with enquirers who do not order: [Owner to confirm: retention period].
  • Customer conversations and order records: [Owner to confirm: retention period, e.g. length of subscription plus a set period for accounting or legal purposes].
  • Hosting logs: [Owner to confirm: retention period].

Your data protection rights

Under UK GDPR you have the following rights. Some apply only in certain circumstances:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it.
  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data, for example while a dispute about accuracy is resolved.
  • Objection: object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests.
  • Portability: ask for data you gave us, processed under contract or consent, in a commonly used electronic format.

To make a request, message us via the contact page or email [Owner to confirm: data controller contact email]. We may need to confirm your identity, for example by replying from the same WhatsApp number. We normally respond within one month, as required by law. Making a request is usually free.

Complaints to the ICO

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy if the website or our services change; updates will be published here. Last updated: [Owner to confirm: publication date]. For related information, see our terms and conditions and refund policy.
